Questions
How much does an AI agent cost?
Legion builds AI agents starting at $150 an hour. Most small business agents take a few weeks of work, depending on how many systems they need to connect to. After launch there is a monthly retainer so we can keep an eye on it and fix it when something changes.
How much does an AI agent cost per month to run?
There are two monthly costs: the AI service fees the agent uses, which are usually modest for a small business, and our monitoring retainer. We tell you both numbers up front before we build anything.
How much does AI automation cost for a small business?
It depends on the job. Automating one task, like sorting incoming emails or entering orders, costs far less than rebuilding a whole process. We start with a short call, pick the task that saves you the most time, and give you an estimate in hours, with rates starting at $150 an hour.
What is an AI agent, in simple terms?
An AI agent is software that does a task a person would normally do, like reading an email, looking something up, and filling in a form. It follows rules you set and hands anything unusual to a person.
How do I use AI in my business?
Start with the work your team repeats every day: data entry, answering the same questions, scheduling, chasing paperwork. Those are usually the easiest and safest wins. We can walk through your week with you and point out where AI would actually help.
Is AI worth it for a small business?
It is worth it when it takes a repetitive job off someone's plate and you can measure the time saved. It is not worth it as a gadget. We will tell you honestly if a task is not a good fit.
Do I need an AI consultant for my small business?
Not always. Off-the-shelf tools handle simple things well. A consultant helps when the work touches several of your systems, or when you need it to run reliably without someone babysitting it.
Is there an AI consultant near me in Minneapolis?
Yes. Legion is based in Minneapolis and works with businesses across the Twin Cities and the rest of the country. We are happy to meet in person locally or over video.
Can AI answer phone calls for my business?
Yes. An AI receptionist can answer calls, take messages, book appointments, and send urgent calls to a person. We set it up to sound like your business and to follow your rules.
Can AI do bookkeeping or accounting work?
AI is good at the busywork around it, like pulling numbers from invoices, matching receipts, and flagging things that look off. Your bookkeeper or accountant should still review and sign off.
What happens after the AI agent is built?
AI agents can drift as your data, software, or the underlying AI models change. Our monthly retainer covers watching the agent, catching problems early, and fixing them.
Can I hire data scientists or ML engineers through Legion?
Yes. Besides building agents, we place AI engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers, including PyTorch specialists, with companies that need them.
Can I run AI locally instead of in the cloud?
Yes. A local AI model runs on your own computers, so your data never leaves the building. It is a good fit for clinics and other businesses with sensitive information.
What kinds of businesses does Legion work with?
Mostly owner-led businesses with 50 to 500 employees: clinics, manufacturers, distributors, logistics companies, insurance agencies, and trades like HVAC and electrical.
